What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It can hold a session identifier, a preference (like a theme), or an analytics tag. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by a different domain loaded inside the page (an embedded video, an ad network) are called third-party cookies.
Cookies this site uses
This website is deliberately simple. It does not run advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking pixels. The cookies you may encounter are limited to:
- Strictly necessary cookies. A session cookie may be set by the web server to remember your preferences during a visit (for example, dismissing the age-verification banner). These are deleted when you close your browser.
- Performance / analytics cookies. We may, at some point, add a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand which pages people read. Today we do not. If we add one, this policy will be updated and the cookie listed here by name.
- Cloudflare cookies. The website is fronted by Cloudflare, which may set a
__cf_bmcookie to distinguish humans from bots and acf_clearancecookie if you complete a challenge. These are functional, short-lived, and set by Cloudflare on our behalf.
What we do not use
- No Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok pixel, or other advertising trackers.
- No third-party social-login buttons.
- No retargeting or behavioral profiling.
Managing cookies
You can disable or delete cookies in every modern browser. Here are the official instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Disabling strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site (for example, the age-verification banner may reappear on every page). All other parts will continue to function.

If we add a new category of cookie, or change which provider sets one, we will update this page and note the change in the "Last updated" line above.
